Nike 6.0 Story...

Nike has always been a leader in footwear when it comes to traditional sports. The not-so-traditional action sports, however, such as skateboarding, surfing, moto, bmx, wakeboarding, and so on, have always been the domain of smaller, more specialized brands. Now the action sports industries have grown significantly, being widely known and accepted, and have moved beyond niche-market status.

Nike's first attempt at breaking into the action sports arena came in the form of Nike Skateboarding (Nike SB). Nike SB was well received in the tightly-knit skateboarding community. Shortly after, Nike introduced Nike 6.0. Nike 6.0 has a broader focus, catering to all aspects of action sports, and remains separate from Nike SB.

Nike 6.0 is represented by its unique Nike 6.0 Mutant logo, complete with Swoosh and 6.0 logos.
